(THE MILKYWAY RESTAURANT - EMPIRE BLDG - SUITE 110) To demo and install new fire sprinkler lines within the remodel of an existing tenant space located on the first floor of the Empire Building for a new restaurant tenant use. The total floor area of this tenant space is about 2,763 square feet (1,653 square feet on the grade level and 1,110 square feet on the "mezzanine" level). Fire sprinkler work is related to bi-fold exterior doors, grease hood and duct, a dumbwaiter, and kitchen equipment all per approved drawings and plan review conditions on file. This building is fire sprinklered under the provisions of the 1994 UCBC because it is too tall, too big, and has too many stories. The fire sprinkler system work shall comply with IFC 2000, attached review comment and conditions list, as regulated by the Fire Chief. These notes, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code. This permit is attached to building permit: BLD03-001560.
