To extend the existing required manual fire alarm system to include manual fire boxes, smoke detector coverage for R1 sleeping areas (accessible) and notification. The existing system includes sprinkler monitoring, elevator recall/shutdown, HVAC shutdown, cooking hood monitoring, smoke detector coverage for R1 sleeping areas and notification throughout.

The associated building permit (BLD 03-01122) is to remodel 897 sq.ft. of warehouse/work shop area to accommodate 28 bed transient dormitory with restrooms and showers, on the 1st floor at the north center portion of the existing building. NOTE: This building is fully fire sprinklered per NFPA 13-R. NOTE: A separate permit for the expansion of the parking lot is required to be obtained and finaled prior to occupancy of this portion of the building.
