Micron Building #16 - Remodel for RDL Manufacturing Tools (PCS #16-20035862) - To demo and reroute and install fire sprinkler protection in the remodel of approximately 9,000 ft/2 areas of the basement, subfloor, and interstitial space in Building #16. This building remodel is converting the existing Encapsulation Area 0001J, R&M Area 001O, Office 001Q and Mechanical Area into Inspection Bay 001J, Smock & Booty 001N, Plenum 001O, Photo Bay 001K, Plenum 001P, Etch/PVD Bay 001L, Plenum 001) and Mech. 000H. These areas are being enclosed by a one-hour fire-resistive fire barrier (vertical & horizontal) to create a separate control area. The fire sprinkler work associated in this permit is for a new raised floor, suspended ceiling, mechanical work, which includes the installation of new Recirculation Fan Units at the interstitial space, as well as new exhaust ducts routed to the roof. This remodel is being done between grid lines 5 & 19 and M & Q. Other building permit work associated in this area (structural concrete work and relocation of the exterior curtain wall at the duct shaft) is BLD03-02254, of which no fire permit is or was associated. All fire sprinkler system work shall comply with the IFC 2000, the attached review comments/conditions, as regulated by the Fire Chief. The review comments/conditions, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code.
