To provide a smoke detector for door release and relocate a notification appliance to an existing fire alarm system in the remodeled space. Two existing fire/smoke dampers will remain and are to close on manual pull or smoke detection. The required manual fire alarm system includes required automatic detection, sprinkler monitoring, HVAC shutdown, fire/smoke damper control, door release, elevator recall/shutdown and notification throughout.

The associated building permit (BLD 04-01255) is to perform selective demolition within existing area; to construct approximately 20 feet of new interior, non-combustible, fire-resistive wall within existing work space to create new private radiology reading room; to remove double exit corridor doors to existing work room and install new rated single door and 3 feet of 1-hour wall infill; add new cabinetry and modify electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire suppression and alarm systems to meet tenant needs and provide code compliance. PC04-575/drs (ST ALPHONSUS)(RADIOLOGY READING ROOM-LEVEL ONE) A "Letter of Compliance" is required for final approval. Building is fully sprinklered.
