To provide complete notification to the remodeled area on the 7th floor. The required manual fire alarm system includes sprinkler monitoring, HVAC shutdown, elevator recall/shutdown, required automatic fire/smoke damper control, door release and notification throughout (voice evac is required as this is classified as a high rise).

The associated building permit (BLD 05-00102) is to remodel 7,283 sq.ft. of office area previously occupied by 3 tenants to merge into one tenant space per approved plans. Work includes selective demolition of interior non-bearing walls and portion of existing rated 1-hour corridor; to infill openings created by demo and install new 20 minute rated door assemblies for doors 700 & 724; upgrade electrical, sprinkler & fire alarm systems to meet tenant needs and comply with minimum adopted codes and ordinances. Architect has declared on Sheet A0.1 that there are to be no changes to building envelope, electrical or mechanical that would involve energy code compliance. No electrical or mechanical submitted as part of this permit.
