Description
To provide required automatic detection, manual fire boxes, HVAC shutdown (existing duct detectors are being replaced), fire/smoke damper control, door release and notification throughout the remodeled area on the ground level. The existing fire alarm system includes sprinkler monitoring, required automatic detection, HVAC shutdown, fire/smoke damper control, door release, elevator recall/shutdown and notification throughout (high rise).

6/21/2005 - A temporary office has been shown at column lines Q/19. A strobe will be installed for total coverage.

9/15/2005- Plan Modification. Fire alarm plans have changed based upon the architectural changes.

East plan includes six (6) additional strobes, two smoke detectors and a single heat detector. The mods are clouded and shown as REVC on FACP-02 Riser.

West plan includes two (2) additional strobes. The mods are clouded and shown as REVB on FACP-08 Riser.

10/20/2005- Plan Modification. Fire alarm plans have changed based upon the architectural changes.

East plan includes two (2) additional strobes and two (2) smoke detectors. The mods are clouded and shown as REVD on FACP-02 Riser. The rooms involved are Vending GC005C and Consult GC005B.

The associated building permit (BLD 04-02203) is to remodel 26,150 sq.ft. of existing areas currently used as surgery support space for medical imaging per approved plans. Work includes selective demolition; new interior, non-combustible, fire-resistive walls to create exam, treatment, recovery and support areas; a 1-hour fire barrier to create a medical imaging suite; corridor walls to form a barrier against smoke; 1-hour walls at incidental use area storage rooms as indicated; electrical, mechanical, plumbing, medical gases, sprinkler and alarm systems upgrades to meet tenant needs and comply with minimum code.
