(ESTRELLA RESTAURANT - PLAZA 121 - BASEMENT AND 1ST FLR) To modify the existing fire sprinkler system for the tenant improvement work and the creation of a restaurant tenant space on the 1st story (3,479 square feet) and in the basement (1,433 square feet) of an existing 6 story building. All public areas are located on the 1st story with a kitchen in the basement and a kitchen on the 1st story. Fire sprinkler work is related to 2 restrooms, new interior nonbearing walls and suspended ceilings. This building is fire sprinklered in lieu of opening protection at the alley, rated corridors, basement enclosure, elevator lobbies, etc. It is also fire sprinklered because it has occupied floors more than 55 feet above the sidewalk and to allow one stairway to egress through a nonrated lobby on the 1st floor. This fire protection work shall comply with the IFC 2000 and the permit review comments; each regulated by the Fire Chief. The review comments, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code.
