(CALVARY CHAPEL - SANCTUARY EXPANSION) To add and modify fire sprinkler piping and sprinklers for the expansion of the 2nd floor seating area in the existing Sanctuary by about 2,183-ft/2 to a total of 3,844-ft/2, by adding mezzanines along columns "A" and "F", and the construction of two new egress stairways with one located on the east side of column "F" and the other constructed through an existing prayer room, located in the south west corner of this building. Work included in the BLD, but not addressed or permitted in this review, is to enclose the existing drive-thru canopy to increase the size of the East foyer by about 732-ft/2, and to expand a prayer room from 430-ft/2 to 721-ft/2. This building is fire sprinklered for area increase, story increase, and fire area. This fire protection work shall comply with the IFC 2000 and the permit review comments; each regulated by the Fire Chief. The review comments, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code. This permit is attached to BLD04-00725.

Sprinkler rough-in is ok except for aux. drains have not been installed yet and will need looked at. Also hanger rods will need to be shortened or eq bracing added on the 3" main that has been raised and the 2"x1 1/2" hex bushing used in the south below mezzanine piping cannot be used per nfpa 13. Sprinkler piping can be covered. Access door at the north stairs will be needed as stated on approved drawings.
