MICHAELS THE ARTS & CRAFTS STORE (ADDITION AND REMODEL) - To modify and expand an existing fire sprinkler system into a new 7,650-ft/2, one story, addition on the east end of the existing Franklin Towne Plaza IV building. This addition is for the expansion of the existing Michaels Arts & Crafts tenant space. This includes the removal of two existing small entry vestibules and the construction of one new larger entry vestibule, the addition of a new 390-ft/2 classroom and a new office, cash room to the north east wall of the new expansion and add a new 800-ft/2 framing room at the southwest area of the retail space. The new building area with the addition is 51,750-ft/2, first floor 38,690-ft/2, second floor 13,060-ft/2. NOTE: The entire Franklin Towne Plaza IV building is considered one building. The sprinkler system is used for area increase. This fire protection work shall comply with the IFC 2003 and the permit review comments; each regulated by the Fire Chief. The review comments, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code.
