The access control security system is being replaced with a new system (replacement is same locations, just different hardware). The fire alarm system currently has an output to release the security doors that have mag locks to meet the requirement of IFC1008.1.3.4. This FA permit is to allow SCP to replace the security system, reconnect the FA system and have a PDS Fire Inspector field verify the access controlled egress door meet the requirements of the IFC.

The associated building permit (BLD05-00665) is to remodel a small area in an existing 15,394 sq ft building per approved plans. Work to include, selective demolition of interior partitions, construction of new interior nonbearing partitions to create two new offices and a small conference room, removal or relocation of existing lighting, dual level switching requirements in the two new office spaces, miscellaneous related interior finishes. This building is fully fire sprinklered any alterations or modifications to the sprinkler system shall be per NFPA #13 as regulated by the fire department and WILL require a separate permit.
