Description
BOISE TOWNE SQUARE EXPANSION - To modify an existing valve room (systems) FDC to a permanent and accessible location in a parking lot island. Fire sprinkler work involves modification to the existing FDC piping, adding 6" galvanized pipe and grooved elbow outside the wall and underground to a transition/retained fitting, 6" MJ ell then approximately 240'-0" of 6" C-900 PVC sloped to an accessible drain pit, bedded with sufficient drain rock. The installation of an approved drain valve and "scored" ball drain on the bottom of 6" underground line, accessible through the pit. The transition from 6" C-900 to 6" Galvanized riser piping, exposed above the ground to installation of a 6" x 2½" x 2½" x 2½" 90° approved (3-way), at an elevation between 24" and 48" provided with an approved, permanent and identifiable sign addressing the use and mall building areas this connection supports. This work is preparation for the construction of 12,395-ft/2, one story shell addition, for three future retail tenant spaces, on the south side of the existing mall, east of the main mall entry. This permit does not include any other fire sprinkler (overhead or underground). The Mall building is fully fire sprinklered. The sprinklers are used for area increase. The fire sprinkler underground work shall comply with NFPA 13-2002, NFPA 24-2002 the IFC-2003, attached review comment and conditions list, as regulated by the Fire Chief. These notes, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum fire code. This permit is attached to building permit: BLD06-00007.

Underground piping up to the 11 1/4 is ok to cover. Per contractor the piping is relocated 3' over to be under the new sidewalk and landscaping which will give it a 4'-6" bury.
