THE ROYAL PLAZA (SHELL) - To install complete fire sprinkler protection consisting of: Underground Fire Service Supply, 750 gpm @ 155 Vertical Turbine Fire Pump with Jockey, Controls and related appurtenance, Floor Zoned Wet systems; Floor Zoned Antifreeze System, Floor Zoned Dry System, Class 1 Automatic Standpipes in each required stair enclosure, Break Tank Supply/Secondary Water Supply system in a new 97,585-ft/2, seven story mix occupancy, shell and core high rise building, constructed of Geopier and concrete foundation, steel structural frame and concrete floors. This building will be fully fire sprinklered. The first floor will have retail, restaurant and parking (8 spaces). The second floor is parking (30 spaces). The third through sixth floor will be residential condominium units. The seventh floor will be individual residential storage units (26 units) an exercise room and a 1300 square foot roof top trellis covered terrace. This is a shell permit only with separate fire permits required for tenant occupancies. The fire sprinkler system work shall comply with the IFC 2003, the attached review comments/conditions, as regulated by the Fire Chief. The review comments/conditions, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code. This permit is attached to building permit: BLD06-00450. Run 43’ of 6” Ductile iron UG piping from the existing 16” water main located at West Main Street. Stub up into the bldg. through a 6” BFP. Run a 6” supply to the 20,000 gal (Secondary Water Source) tank and pump assembly. From the Booster pump, run a 6” supply to the wet & dry pipe systems serving through out the 7 story mixed use Occupancy bldg. The 6” will also supply a class I standpipe serving each floor. This design is of shell protection only. All fire pump, sprinkler and standpipe work shall comply with the IFC 2003, the attached review comments/conditions, as regulated by the Fire Chief. The review comments/conditions, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code. The underground fire service supply was installed separately under FIR05-00. This fire permit is attached to building permit: BLD06-00450. This is a shell and core permit only. Separate tenant improvement permits are required to finish this building for occupancy.
