Description
To install a fire life safety NFPA 13R system to prevent flashover (total involvement) in the room of fire origin, where sprinklered, and to improve the chance for occupants to escape or be evacuated, in a new 4,305-ft/2 single story apartment building. Contract is starting at the discharge side of a 2" Wilkins Series 950XL Backflow Double Check control. An NFPA 13R fire sprinkler protection system is required through out the living area and the exterior entry ways. System shall be equipped with an alarm initiating device connected to an alarm system and an outside annunciating devise. All fire sprinkler work and related, which includes single underground water supply, the system backflow prevention device and domestic shut off valve (provided by others), shall be per NFPA 13R, approved plans, engineering/red-lining and attached review comments, under direction of the Fire Chief. This permit is attached to: BLD05-00995.
