The Permitted Work Scope:
To construct a 1,656 sq.ft. confectionary shop per approved plans. Work includes construction of perimeter tenant separation wall for this space (leaving approximately 1,948 sq. ft. of first floor 'shell' undeveloped); to construct framed walls to create an accessible unisex restroom and a back storage / work / office area. As part of the Shell permit (BLD03-02192) plans indicate a 1-hour fire resistive floor assembly (U.L. D919) was constructed between the first floor and future residential units above; supporting columns were to be 1-hour construction (U.L. X528) and exterior walls; and a 1-hour shaft enclosure was / is constructed for mechanical and stair enclosures. These elements shall be maintained during the construction. This building is fully sprinklered. The fire sprinkler scope of work includes dropping 16 down heads into the new wall and ceiling layout. A single SSU was added in area 102 to complete coverage.
When tenant work affects fire sprinkler protection outside the permitted work area. The affected area sprinkler coverage outside the BLD permit will fall under the Fire Permit scope of work, to maintain the required fire protection within the fire sprinklered facility. The "Riser" and its supplies which include all appurtenances (including tamper, alarm and alarm monitoring) relating to the normal and correct function and integrity of this system will fall under the jurisdiction for code compliant verification.
