Description |
To expand an existing restaurant tenant space into an adjacent area. After the expansion, this tenant space will have a floor area of 3,650 square feet (1,900 square feet for dining, 1,294 square feet for the kitchen, 456 square feet for the mezzanine). This space is located on the 1st story of an existing 2 story with basement historic building (11,400 square foot basement, 11,400 square foot 1st story, 11,500 square foot 2nd story). The fire sprinkler scope of work includes adding 3 heads in the seating area to meet coverage requirements. Thirteen un-used existing outlets above the new ceiling will be plugged off. The fire sprinkler system shall comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department
When tenant work affects fire sprinkler protection outside the permitted work area due to the installation of tenant-demising or new partition walls, the affected area sprinkler coverage outside the BLD permit will fall under the Fire Permit scope of work, to maintain the required fire protection within the fire sprinklered facility. The "Riser" and its supplies which include all appurtenances (including tamper, alarm and alarm monitoring) relating to the normal and correct function and integrity of this system will fall under the jurisdiction for code compliant verification.
