The Permitted Work Scope:
This alteration of the sixth floor fire sprinkler system is being made to accommodate a new ceiling layout. The scope is limited to the relocation of sprinkler heads only. This modification does not appear to adversely affect the operation of the existing system. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. The scope of the sprinkler work includes relocating 25 down heads into the new ceiling layout. When tenant work affects fire sprinkler protection outside the permitted work area due to the installation of tenant-demising or new partition walls, the affected area sprinkler coverage outside the BLD permit will fall under the Fire Permit scope of work, to maintain the required fire protection within the fire sprinklered facility. The "Riser" and its supplies which include all appurtenances (including tamper, alarm and alarm monitoring) relating to the normal and correct function and integrity of this system will fall under the jurisdiction for code compliant verification.
