Locate the FDC remotely from the bldg. The new location will be in close proximity to the Post Indicator Valve as originally approved. The fire sprinkler underground work shall comply with NFPA 13-2002, NFPA 24-2002 the IFC-2003, attached review comment and conditions list, as regulated by the Fire Chief. These notes, permit and fire “Inspection Card” are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum fire code. Install underground services beginning and the property line, run 6” PVC out and rise up into a common riser room serving three separate structures. The under ground supply will be controlled from a Post indicating valve. Each of the three structures is to be protected through out. A total of 33 new heads were added as a result of these changes. All four of the structures are to be protected through out. These plans were resubmitted due to changes made in the field during construction. The previously approved plans listed the Viking Freedom heads with a 5.5 k-factor, with a minimum starting pressure for the approved spacing of 16’ x 16’ was 21.66 psi. The designer substituted a Reliable model F1-Res-58. The characteristics of the Reliable head are a 5.8 k-factor, with a minimum starting pressure for the approved spacing of 16’ x 16’ was 19.48 psi.
