Description
This permit is to make corrections and modifications to an existing fire alarm system in the Idaho Building located at 280 8th Street Boise Idaho. An upgrade agreement was established to correct deficiencies discovered on the fire alarm system March, 14 2006. Item 1) of the upgrade agreement requires the new cooking hood installed at Satchels' to be connected to the first floor zone of the original fire alarm panel. A fire alarm bell is to be installed on the exterior of Satchels' intended to alert responding personnel of a fire within that structure. Item 2) is to remove all initiating devices currently connected to a second fire panel located in the basement. The basement panel shall serve only as a DACT offsite communicator. All trouble signals initiated at the original FACP shall be transmitted to the supervising station as supervisory signals. Item 3) is to provide proper supervision of the fire sprinkler pump per NFPA 20 and NFPA 72. To include pump running, phase reversal and loss of power. Item 4) is to required audible fire alarms levels per the IFC 2003 907.10.2 however, it has been established that the 1988 NFPA 72 G audible fire alarm levels will be acceptable which are 50dBa in residences, 60dBa in business occupancies and 55dBa in mercantile occupancies.
