Description
(P.O.D.S. - ASSOCIATED FOODS WAREHOUSE - NE CORNER TENANT SPACE 102) To create a 35,159 sq.ft. secure tenant space within an existing 250,000 sq ft building for storage of high pile steel storage containers of assorted household goods per approved plans. Work to include, erection of 18 ft high metal stud and gyp board partitions, construction of a new restroom, installation of new exterior 18' overhead door & two 3' x 6' 8" man doors to be installed on the east side of the building, relocate an existing interior modular office space too within this space, This building is fully fire sprinkled any alterations or modifications to the sprinkler system shall be per NFPA #13 as regulated by the fire department. Solid partitions are constructed to separate storage areas to less than 50,000 sq ft so heat & smoke vents are NOT Required. The fire sprinkler scope of work includes the demo of the existing electric fire pipe as it will be replaced with a new diesel fire pump rated 2500 gpm @ 110 psi. The existing 2 ½” branch lines will also be remove and replaced with 3” branch lines. The existing heads with in the affected areas will also be removed and replaced with ESFR heads. In addition four existing rack system supply risers and associated piping will be removed as per plan. This building is fully fire sprinkled any alterations or modifications to the sprinkler system shall be per NFPA #13 as regulated by the fire department. The partition walls separate the areas into spaces that are less than 50,000 sq ft so that smoke and heat vents are not required. Fire sprinkler work is related to selective demolition, construction of new non-combustible interior partitions, & the installation of new suspended ceiling system per plans, attached plan review conditions, regulated by the Fire Chief. The review comments, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code. Verified completion of c/n items at the pump including repair of the pressure limiting device. Ventilation, EM lighting, and floor drain are acceptable. Noted missing outside waterflow bell, need to program weekly run timer/schedule, fire dpt. access road to the pump house is not adequate, the hydrant at the NE corner of the building is not live. Provide a legible copy of the approved plan set at the next inspection for OH rough-in, still need hydrostatic testing.

Completed pump acceptance testing per NFPA 20, noted some items in need of correction including mesh at PRV and engine exhaust discharge, FDC needs repair, lock fuel supply open, no galvanized pipe is allowed in the fuel supply line, pump room needs adequate ventilation and a floor drain, provide 3-way valve at jockey sensing guage, tighten bolts at flex exhaust flange, program weekly run timer, the pressure limiting device solenoid is not functioning properly. Pump curve data meets requirements.
