Booth suppression system activated when the test link was cut. The air supply for painting shut off as well. The booth does not have the 3' clearance as required but seems to meet the exception for being against a non combustible wall. The wall is cinderblock which supports a sheetrock ceiling. The item that is a problem is the heater for the curing/baking process is direct fire which is not allowed per code. Also the distance from property lines and openings needs verified as well as the height of the exhaust discharge piping. Matt was going to have his booth supplier contact sam rogers about their booth and its operation. Also I had matt program in the required 3 minute delay before the heater comes on per code and per matt the unit has a high limit switch set at 200 degrees. The fire extinguisher is also ok.
