* To install a fire life safety NFPA 13R system to prevent flashover (total involvement) in the room of fire origin, where sprinklered, and to improve the chance for occupants to escape or be evacuated, in a new 8,191-ft/2 two story, ten unit apartment building starting at the top of a 2” Watts Series 007 Backflow Double Check control. All fire sprinkler work and related, which includes dedicated 2” underground water supply and the backflow prevention device shall be per NFPA 13R, approved plans, engineering/red-lining and attached review comments, under direction of the Fire Chief. These previously approved plans were resubmitted as an as-built set dated 02/06/2008 and noted as revision reference #1. The modification did affect the 4 remote areas of hydraulic calculations. The calculations have also been submitted for review but do not appear to adversely affect the operation of the system as it was approved.
