Revised Scope of Work
To install a fire life safety NFPA 13R system to prevent flashover (total involvement) in the room of fire origin, where sprinklered, and to improve the chance for occupants to escape or be evacuated, in a new 6,400-ft/2 two story, apartment building. An NFPA 13R fire sprinkler protection system is required. The system shall be equipped a separate floor control valve for each floor, and an alarm initiating device connected to an alarm system and an outside annunciating devise. All fire sprinkler work and related, which includes dual service underground water supply, the system backflow prevention device (provided by others), shall be per NFPA 13R, approved plans, engineering/red-lining and attached review comments, under direction of the Fire Chief. In addition to the scope of work outlined in the 05/02/07 comments and the original scope as it was defined, the contractor has met code compliance by adding coverage at the exterior patios and canopy’s per IFC 903.3.1.2.1 To be field verified by a fire life safety inspector.

SW head at a first floor bedroom, piping at two locations adjacent to the 1st floor carports are subject to freeze potential as installed, missing head at the riser, overspaced heads at the 2nd floor in three units, need to verifiy tenting prior to approval for cover.
