Scope of Work
Install a complete overhead sprinkler system through out the existing structure in accordance with NFPA13-R and IFC 2003 . A new 6” under ground service will be run beginning from a gate vale located in the street off of S. Curtis. All fire sprinkler work and related shall be performed per NFPA 13, approved plans, engineering/red-lining and attached review comments, under direction of the Fire Chief. This permit is attached to permit BLD06-03598. 06/28/07 ///09/24/07 Revised Scope of Work - This review of a previously approved plan is due to significant changes to the system which resulted in a complete resubmittal of the plans and calculations. The system type has been changed from a modified 13R type wet pipe system to a 13R Modified Anti-Freeze (Glycerine) system. The original extended coverage was calculated to 18’ x 18’; under this revision #2 & 3 dated 07/09/07 & 09-06-07 the spacing has been changed to a 16’ x 16’ maximum.

Sprinkler pendants are blocked by light fixtures. Both overhead and underground piping need hydro tested. The underground needs flushed. All riser details need inspected. Alarm interconnections need to be tested.

The sprinkler rough-in is ok but there have been alot of 90's added into the branchlines and the 1 1/2" main due to vaulted ceilings in each of the apartments. Also no tenting has been done. The sprinkler piping is not to be covered and resubmittals with hydraulic calculations are required prior to cover.

First floor piping is ok to cover. This is the only area inspected. There were some minor changes and per the installer as-builts are being resubmitted to the city.
