Scope of Work:
Add sprinkler coverage with in the new 24’ high rack storage arrangement and beneath the walkways. The
new racks approved are both single and double row rack type. The new rack sprinklers will be supplied
from the existing system piping. See the limitations of this design on sheet 4 of the report. (Notes 2 – 9) The existing Hose Valve System shall be extended out into the affected area as required.
When fire systems are to be temporarily put out of service, all possible work shall be accomplished in
advance prior to shutting off the water to the fire sprinkler system, so that final connections can be made
quickly and protection restored promptly. The chief (Fire Department) shall be notified when any required
fire-protection system is out of service for over an 8- hour period and upon restoration of service. (IFC

The fire sprinkler system work shall comply with the IFC 2003 and the current Factory Mutual Loss Data Sheets 8 & 9 provided, the attached review comments/conditions, as regulated by the Fire Chief. The review comments/conditions, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code.
