Scope of Work - Beginning from the supply side of the Back Flow Device, (Supplied By Others) To install a life safety NFPA 13D system in a new two story with a basement, single family dwelling of 4,556-ft/2. Additional coverage was added beneath the Bonus room. System shall be equipped with an alarm initiating device and an outside alarm. All fire sprinkler work and related, which includes dual use, single service water supply, the system backflow prevention device (provided by others), shall be per IFC2003 903, NFPA 13D, approved plans, engineering/red-lining and attached review comments, under direction of the Fire Chief. Residential Remote 2nd floor Remote Test Area 3 Master Bath Hallway (Operating a minimum of 2 sprinklers) – Sheet FP-2, provided with:
TYCO Mod LFII, 4.9 K-factor, (½”), TY3596.
Calculated for a maximum: 18’ X 18’ spacing.
Each head requires a minimum 17.0gpm @ 12.04 psi.
System has a cushion with 19.28 psi remaining at the base of the riser (Node #1).
Total System Requirements: 34.38 gpm @ 57.11 psi from the base of riser.
These automatic sprinklers have ½" threads and a 4.9 K-factor orifice. The sprinkler temperature ratings are 155ºF (Red 3mm Bulb), ordinary temperature, allowing for a maximum 100ºF ambient ceiling temperature.
Elevation of the highest sprinkler in the remote in relation to the node 1 test (connection at the domestic United Water tap) is 23’-6” feet.

The rough-in of the piping as installed is ok. As-built plans will be required due to the additional sprinkler heads added. No "ok" to cover was given due to the owners may decide to utilize a anti-freeze system instead of tenting the piping. As of today the piping in the unheated areas has not been tented.
