Description
This fire alarm permit is to install a new fire alarm panel and notification appliances in the first and second floor public & common use areas and provide audible visual notification in an existing tenant space URS. The new system includes sprinkler and valve tamper monitoring, elevator primary and alternate control, shunt trip, fire hat and shunt trip power monitoring. The new system requires a duct smoke detector installed in return air system of the building HVAC system, remote annunciator, manual pull station and smoke detector above the new FACP. Building permit BLD07-00991 is to remodel the front entrance vestibule and interior lobby area per approved plans & CZC07-00087. Work to include, changing out the existing sprinkler heads to quick response sprinklers in lieu of fire rating corridor, construction of new non-rated partition, installation of suspended ceiling and related lighting, miscellaneous related interior finishes. This building is fully fire sprinkled for one hour fire resistive substitution.

Prior to inspection the NFPA 72 "Inspection and testing" form Fig. 10.6.2.3 must be completed including a copy of the supervising station signals report- see fire code review notes #8, audible notification at the existing tenant URS is not temporal as required, provide key for elevator reset at the next inspection. Manual pull, SD at the panel, sprinkler monitoring, FACP phone lines, batteries, AC loss, and the duct detector tested okay, notification device locations for the first and second floors appear satisfactory. Elevator controls not tested at this tme.
