Description
Scope of Work: To install a fire life safety NFPA 13R system to prevent flashover (total involvement) in the room of fire origin, where sprinklered, and to improve the chance for occupants to escape or be evacuated, in a new 5,556-ft/2 three story, four unit apartment building starting at the top of a 2” Ames Series 007 Backflow Double Check control. System shall be equipped with an alarm initiating device connected to an alarm system and an outside annunciating devise. All fire sprinkler work and related, which includes a dedicated service underground water supply, the system backflow prevention device, shall be per NFPA 13R, approved plans, engineering/red-lining and attached review comments, under direction of the Fire Chief. This permit is attached to: BLD06-02528. Revised Scope of Work: These previously approved plans and calculations were resubmitted due to changes made during construction that affected the remote area of operation. The modifications include adding 4 pendants, two on each level to meet code compliance. The two dry HSW heads second floor serving the decks were relocated. In addition, a second feed main to the second floor from the first was added. Design area 1 was affected. These modifications of the plans as they were approved do not appear to adversely affect the systems operation. The revisions are noted as 1 -6 and dated 03-04-08.
