This permit is to install a new fire R4 assisted living center. The building is fully sprinklered and per an agreement to allow an R4 occupancy requires a manual and automatic fire alarm system throughout in all but sleeping areas. Sleeping areas shall be provided with single station smoke detectors. Building permit # BLD05-01602 is to construct a new 9,606 square feet, two story, maximum 16 residence, 14 bedroom, assisted living facility, licensed by the State of Idaho, Facility Standards. NOTE: Per signed and approved alternate letter dated 1/20/06, a maximum of 5 people will be permitted to reside in this facility which will require assistance from the staff to evacuate the building in an emergency situation and there shall always be at least one employee of the owner in this building at all times. The following items are required throughout. The installation of a NFPA 13 fire sprinkler system with quick response heads, a manual and automatic fire alarm system, a fire detection system in all areas other than the patient sleeping rooms, smoke alarms shall be installed in all sleeping rooms, incidental use separation as required by Section 302.1.1.1, an one-hour fire barrier is required between the garage and the residence and a one-hour horizontal fire assembly is required between the first and second floor . The first floor is 8,198 sq.ft with an attached 525 sq.ft. garage. The second floor is 903 sq.ft and is used for staff offices. All construction per the approved plans and attached comment list.
