This fire alarm permit is to install a new fire alarm system in an existing building, as required by item #2 in the phased upgrade agreement dated 11/14/08 (document attached to building permit). This permit scope includes automatic smoke detection, a single pull station, notification throughout, and sprinkler system monitoring. Plans do not indicate any HVAC shutdown, therefore it is not covered under this review. This permit scope does not cover the existing stand-alone smoke alarms.

Associated building permit: BLD08-02236 (INTERFAITH SANCTUARY) To remodel an existing 9833 sq ft. homeless shelter this project is to be done in phases this is the first phase. Work to include, connecting the existing fire sprinkler system to a water supply, installation of a new fire alarm system, construction of interior partitions to create an exit corridor, There will be an Upgrade Agreement to complete the remainder of the work required in the building. Temporary occupancy of this structure was allowed under permit MIS07-00226. NOTE: SEPARATE PERMITS WILL BE REQUIRED FOR THE FIRE SPRINKLER WORK AND TO INSTALL FIRE ALARM SYSTEM. This building will be fully fire sprinklered and will have a fire alarm system under phase. RMH
