Fire Work Scope:

The Fire Sprinkler Scope of work consists of adding a new 13R sprinkler system to existing apartments. The project is divided into 5 permits to obtain separate occupancies; however, it is one building. This is the only review for all 5 permits. The permits are FIR09-00282 - FIR09-00286. The building permit numbers are BLD09-00017, BLD09-00508 - BLD08-00511

Plan Mod Scope:
The plans have been reviewed for the ballooned areas only. All other areas are to conform to original approved submittal. One above and below (522 A & B) unit is not being remodeled at this time. The sprinklers are located based on no walls. The piping in these units will be steel. When the unit is eventually finished the sprinklers will be required to be relocated. A new submittal will be required if it in the excess of 180 days; prior to that time, a plan mod may be submitted.

(Building I - 516 W. Hale St. units 100 & 200) **PLAN MODIFICATION 4/17/2009** This project is NOW to convert an existing two bedroom, one bathroom, two story apartment unit into (2) one bedroom, one bathroom units. Work to include: Minor demolition, new non-load bearing partitions, electrical modifications, paint and floor finishes, new automatic fire sprinkler system installed throughout in accordance with NFPA 13R, new bathroom (first floor unit), new kitchenette (second floor unit), and a sixteen square foot addition for the fire riser room will be added to the building. A phased upgrade agreement is approved and attached for the automatic sprinkler system improvements. All other alterations related to this building are permitted under BLD09-00508, and BLD09-00509, BLD09-00510, BLD09-00511. All work per approved plan modification plans and attached plan review report. The occupant load calculated under this permit is only for the units being remodeled/added. DRH08-00152, CUP08-00073, and CZC09-00047 per planning and zoning. **SRZ**

Noted one SW head at the first floor mechanical closet in need of adjustment, provide "911" sign at the outside bell, project related FIR permits 09-00283 thru 286 are "ready to issue", need escutcheons installed and travel caps removed at units 518,520, and 524, noted heat has been provided and sheetrock ceilings in the shell unit are done, riser supervision to be tested in conjunction with fire alarm permit work re-inspect.

Sprinkler piping is ok to cove in units 105 and 205. Resubmittal are needed since the pipe sizing and routing have changed and feeds the remote area. I have marked the "as installed" size and routing on the city approved plans. I let the sprinkler fitter know that If ceilings and piping need to be removed due to the resubmittal plans that is the burden of the contractor.

The 2" underground supply piping is ok to cover. The contractor did not have the original approved plans, just copies, on site. I let him know those would be needed at the next inspection.
