This fire alarm permit is to replace existing notification with new and locate per NFPA 72 spacing/mounting requirements to accommodate a new tenant. Existing devices are being replaced to ensure synchronization. This tenant is creating a wall to divide where the original tenant into two separate spaces, therefore a notification device is being added in that tenant space to ensure code requirements are maintained. New devices (replacing existing) are to remain on existing circuiting. An existing pull station has been relocated to the stairwell exit.
Associated building permit: BLD09-00818 (PETROGLYPH ENERGY) (SUITE 500) This building is required to be fully fire sprinklered. To create a 10,185 square foot office tenant space from a larger space located on the 5th story. Work is to include a toilet room accessible to the disabled, a shower room accessible to the disabled, interior nonbearing walls, interior windows, interior doors, millwork, and finishes. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. If the existing automatic sprinklers within this tenant space are not quick-response, they are required to be replaced with quick-response automatic sprinklers. The adjacent tenant space is not allowed to be occupied under this permit. The tenant who intends to occupy the adjacent tenant space is required to get its own Certificate of Occupancy before occupying that space. **CJW**
