The north and south dry pipe systems need accellerators per NFPA 13 - 7.2.3.3 since they exceed 500 gallons. The central system does have the accellerator but did not meet the 60 second rule as per NFPA 13- 7.2.3.2 since it has 755 gallons. Also see table 7.2.3.6.1. Still need to verify low air signal to the facp for the north system and the central system. A zone map is need showing the areas covered by each sprinkler system and the location of the control valves. All signals other than the two low air signals were sent and received at the fire alarm panel.

See the city approved plans for new locations where the sprinkler piping can be covered. Lonnie and I found the the south third of the building sprinkler piping covered without my cover inspections. I agreed for this one occation that instead of removing ceilings that I would access the piping in the attic as long as the insulation has been removed for inspection and then schedule a second inspection for the re-installation of the insulation.

Todays inspection was for the dry system #3. The rough-in is passed in general. The problems needing corrected include restraints are missing on the three branchlines over the kitchen area, through bolts are required for all of the earthquake connections to the wood members, the laterals and longitudinals can not be connected together unless calc'ed that way and 3/4" through bolts are required not the 3/8" as installed.
