1/4/11: PLAN MODIFICATION (no initiating devices affected). This plan modification is to relocate and add notification to accommodate lab stations obstructing the effects of the devices.

2/26/10: This fire alarm permit is to provide smoke detectors, in-duct detectors, duct detectors, door holder connections, and chime/strobes to accommodate a tenant remodel. A new NAC panel is included in this permit scope to accommodate the new chime/strobes.

Associated building permit: BLD09-02069 (ST ALPHONSUS - CLINICAL LABORATORY RENOVATION) Renovation of existing Clinical Laboratory Department to accommodate the installation of an automatic testing line and relocation of the Histology and Cytology Departments. Work will include selective interior demolition in five different phases in conjunction with five phases of tenant remodel to allow Lab functions to continue. In order to maintain operation requirements of the Lab some existing rooms in the immediate Lab Clinic area will receive minimum modifications to facility maintaining use of equipment and work stations for lab activities while their portion of the clinic is demolished and remodeled. At the conclusion of the remodel all activities and support functions will be within the existing Clinical Lab and expanded Histology and Cytology Departments in the SE corner of the 1st floor of SARMC. Work includes construction of new non-bearing walls to create work / testing areas, relocation of existing walk-in cooler; relocation / construction of existing 2-hour fire barrier wall on west and north sides of new Cytology Dept.; structural modification for new door opening in concrete wall between Histology 101 & Cytology 103 (see 8-1/2" xx 11" structural design and details); and upgrades of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, sprinkler and alarm systems to meet tenant needs and provide / maintain code compliance. The plans need to be re-submitted for plan modifications, as per the red note by the plan reviewer, since the partitions/shelves exceed 6'-0" in height. I went ahead and tested the smoke detectors which passed inspection.
