This quick permit is to modify the existing fire alarm system to add notification and a smoke detector to a new bedroom. Also part of this permit scope is to add notification to a hall that was created when the garage was split to add the bedroom. Approval is subject to field measurement of the EOL voltage drop. The voltage drop calculations are based on a 10% drop, therefore the minimum acceptable voltage is 21.6V with the AC power off. Any measurement below this voltage will be considered insufficient to run the NACs at the end of useful battery life of 20.4V. UL 864, Standard for Control Units for Fire Signaling Systems. One egress window is required to be installed. R-1C ok per Colleen Carroll. This dwelling is used as an R-4 residential care / assisted living with R-3 requirements per Boise City Building Division Policy R310.1 R-4 3-20-2008 by the building official, George Slane.
