Description
The Fire Sprinkler Scope of work consists of a wet pipe gridded sprinkler system. The system is supplied by 8" C-900 underground piping, 8" backflow preventer, 6" riser and 6" feed main. The primary and secondary mains are both entirely 6" pipe. The branch lines are 2½" pipe. The area under this permit will be storing group A plastic on wood pallets, no shelves, on racks to a maximum of 25' high storage. ESFR sprinklers will be utilized to protect this storage. The racks will be storing Coca products packaged cartoned, powders ordinary combustibles---free flowing-In paper bags(e.g., flours, sugar), empty plastic cottage cheese containers Group A Plastics, Cartons unassembled neatly piled.

The building adjoining this building via the pedestrian walkway was sprinklered under permit FIR09-00734, FIR10-00238.

The pedestrian walkway between the two buildings was approved by the building code examiner.

The fire marshal, Mr. Mark Senteno approved the existing building access and doors. No changes are required, other than a complete fire sprinkler system.

There were minor changes due to obstructions in the warehouse. Offices 100-104, 108, 110 and 117 were changed to storage, Ordinary Hazard Group II.

Todays inspection verified sprinkler deflector distance from the deck, ESFR sprinkler SIN numbers and branchline hangers. Still need to complete the inspection on the riser, hydro tests...ect. Also needed are the main hangers "load splitters" addressed as per tim frost.

The offices 100, 102, 103 and 104 are actually being used for storage of paintings. These areas will need to be addressed as Ordinary Hazard. Also per the fitter the ceilings in these same areas are not going to be installed. Resubmittals will be required. That being said the sprinkler piping can be covered. All of the overhead sprinkler piping was inspected today and passed except a lift will not be available until next week to verify heads, distances from the deck and hangers. There are still hanger issues being addressed by the plan reviewer and Treasure Valley Fire. So hangers and sway bracing has not been inspected yet. Insulation neeeds to be installed at the deck as discussed above the upper mezzanine offices and the insulation that is hanging down in the warehouse needs to be repaired.
