Description
The Fire Sprinkler Scope of work consists of a new wet system and antifreeze system to protect a portion of the building. This space is separated from the adjoining space by a fire barrier. The system is supplied by 6" C-900 underground piping through a 3" RPZ backflow preventer to a 3" riser and 2½" main. The branch lines are telescoping. The space has a small antifreeze system protecting the exterior canopy. The system has quick response standard spacing sprinklers.

Partial fire sprinkler system required for fire area occupant load. To remodel an existing 2,580 square foot tenant space and convert it to a restaurant with a kitchen. Work it to include 2 restrooms accessible to the disabled, interior nonbearing walls, four (4) Type I grease hoods, one (1) Type II hood, interior decorative canopies, a suspended decorative log ceiling element, suspended acoustical ceilings, structural work to support new roof top equipment (concrete footings, steel and wood columns, steel and wood beams, etc.), kitchen equipment, a grease trap, and finishes. Transfer blocks and bottom cord sleepers will be added to the existing roof trusses as part of the structural modifications needed to support hoods and new roof top equipment. In addition, a 2-hr fire-resistance-rated fire barrier wall will be constructed to completely separate this building, the canopy included, into two separate fire areas. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire area containing this tenant space is required to be fire sprinklered in conjunction with this permit. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. Interior nonstructural demolition was done under permit BLD10-01546. **CJW**

A partial rough-in was performed. The riser has not been built and arm overs/drops have not been installed yet. Pipe routing has been changed in the remote areas but after confering with Tim Frost resubmittals will not be required. See the city approved plans for locations of deficiencies as marked in red.
