Description
The Fire Sprinkler Scope of work consists of adding and relocating sprinklers to accommodate new wall and ceiling configuration.


Building Department Scope:

To remodel an existing 1,264 sq. ft. "vanilla shell & core" space for use as retail sales & support areas, for new tenant "Bare Essentials". Work includes construction of interior non-combustible frame walls to create the sales floor, storage room and accessible staff restroom; construction of engineered structural support for new storefront, display areas & roll down security grill; interior millwork, floor, wall & ceiling finishes; and electrical, plumbing, mechanical, sprinkler & alarm system modifications for new tenant. This building is fully sprinklered. Any alterations to the sprinkler or alarm system require separate application, plans and permits before work can commence and shall be in accordance with applicable NFPA Standards as regulated by the fire department. The smoke evacuation system shall remain operational as originally designed and installed under the 1985 UBC. Racking that exceeds 8 ft. in height requires a separate applications, engineering design calcs and details and floor plan for a building permit before installation. drs

Fire Sprinkler System Design/Spacing:

Hydraulics were neither supplied nor required. For the most part the sprinklers are being relocated on a one for one basis. There is one new branch line being cut into the existing 3” main to fees two new sprinklers in the entrance soffit. The existing systems is a 3”x3”x1¼” grid
