This quick permit is to provide a new strobe and relocate an existing pull station to accomodate a tenant improvement. Approval is subject to field measurement of the EOL voltage drop. For appliances with an operating voltage range of 16V – 33V, the minimum acceptable voltage is 19.6V with the AC power off. Any measurement below this voltage will be considered insufficient to run the NACs at the end of useful battery life of 20.4V. UL 864, Standard for Control Units for Fire Signaling Systems. The installing contractor shall have available at final inspection a voltage meter and measure end of line voltages; witnessed by the field inspector. There are no written review comments. Associated building permit: BLD10-01693 (FAMILY MEDICINE RESIDENCY OF IDAHO - St. Al's RMC) Permit is to remodel an existing 8,019 square foot medical office building in order to install a pharmacy and perform other minor remodeling work. Approval contingent upon adhering to the approved plans on file. Work to include: [construction of interior non-bearing walls to create a records room, to create an office, to enlarge an exam room, to create a pharmacy, and to enlarge a small office to encompass two existing smaller offices], installation of new accessible service counters, and finishes in compliance with chapter 8 of the 2006 IBC. This building is not fire sprinklered. Racking that exceeds 8 ft. in height requires a separate Building Permit be submitted and approved before installation. **TLW**

No testing was actually performed. The pull station is required to be relocated as per the approved plans. Not addressed on the plans was the requriement for audibility in the new open office and in the pharmacy. A visual device is required in the new restroom that is located within the pharmacy. Also in the reception area at the pharmacy has what appears to be an existing strobe mounted in a new wall. This device will have to meet current code for spacing or the code under which is was installed if it had not been modified.
