The Fire Sprinkler Scope of work consists of a wet pipe system to protect the storage of backpacks up to 10’ high in cardboard boxes stacked on pallets or the floor (without racks) in a two level building. The design criteria used for the sprinkler system does NOT permit storage >10’. The upper level is only a partial level. The commodity is classified as Class IV miscellaneous storage. The system is supplied by 6” underground through a 4” back flow preventer and a straight gut system in a 1 hour rated enclosure. The piping is side feed with 2½” main and 2” branch lines.

The shell building permit was BLD10-01086
The underground piping was installed under permit FIR10-00497


Building Department Scope:

New office/warehouse tenant in 13,150 sq. ft. cold shell building constructed under BLD10-01086. Work to include... Planning approval done under CUP10-00003 and DRH10-00085. NOTE: This building is fully fire sprinklered.

Contractor’s Note:
The building permit has not been issued at this time. The building department may determine that changes are required to the building plans in order to meet code. These changes may affect the sprinkler system. The sprinkler contractor will be required to make all necessary changes that may be required. Therefore, if the sprinkler contractor chooses to proceed without an issued building permit they will do so on their own cognizance
