This quick permit is to add a new notification device to an existing fire alarm system to accomodate a tenant improvement. Approval is subject to field measurement of the EOL voltage drop. The voltage drop calculations are based on a 10% drop, therefore the minimum acceptable voltage is 21.6V with the AC power off. Any measurement below this voltage will be considered insufficient to run the NACs at the end of useful battery life of 20.4V. UL 864, Standard for Control Units for Fire Signaling Systems. The installing contractor shall have available at final inspection a voltage meter and measure end of line voltages; witnessed by the field inspector. There are no written review comments. Associated building permit: BLD10-02415 (FORK - LUMSDEN RESTAURANTS - 1ST STORY - EAST END) The fire sprinkler system substitutes for the 1-hr fire-resistance-rating of the building structure. To remodel an existing 3,756 square foot bar for a new bar/restaurant tenant. Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, a suspended ceiling within the kitchen, a new bar counter, a new grease hood over a new rotisserie oven, millwork (including wood covers for existing floor mounted HVAC units), and finishes. A new exterior ramp accessible to the disabled will be constructed under a separate permit and is required to be completed before occupancy by this tenant. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances.
