The Fire Sprinkler Scope of work consists of providing fire protection in a new office area and a loading dock area. The existing building is apparently missing fire protection in some areas. Fire protection is being added to these areas at this time so that the building is a fully sprinklered building. The existing is a 4”x2½”x1¼” grid with 6” underground, 6” riser with a 6” backflow preventer and wall PIV.

History:
Based on the IFC report for permit BLD10-01287 The building will store plastic packaged of pills (3-4 pills in a plastic pack) in cardboard boxes to a maximum height of 8’, anything higher than 8’ will require a complete sprinkler system reevaluation.


Building Department Scope:

Rocky Mountain Packaging - Office and Warehouse Loading Area Additions - To construct a new 1,120 square foot, one story, wood framed office addition with a 120 square foot covered patio on the east side of an existing 11,165 square foot, one story manufacturing building. This permit is also to construct a 500 square foot, one story wood framed loading area addition on the north side of the existing fabrication building. This permit also includes related site improvements. This building is fully fire sprinkled, the sprinklers are used for area increase.
