The building has two underground supplies and two risers; one east and one west. The majority of the second floor sprinkler system is being demo and replaced. The eastern half is 2”x2”x1¼” grid with a 3” feed main. The western half is a tree with 1”, 1¼", 1½” lines and 2” main. All new sprinklers to be quick response type.
Plan Mod Scope:
The plan mode scope of work includes adding three sprinklers in a soffit due to obstructions caused by ductwork. Two skylights will be removed and the roof opening filled in with roof joists and roof sheathing. The roof covering and roof insulation are allowed to match the existing conditions. A stairway will be removed and the floor opening filled in with floor joists and floor sheathing. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. The fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. **CJW**
