Description |
The Fire Sprinkler Scope of work consists of adding sprinklers to the first floor administration wing. This building is partial sprinklered. Apparently, the intent is to fully sprinkler the building in phases over the next five years. The new wing is supplied by a new 3 main that is connected in two locations to the existing 2” main. The existing system is CPVC, and the new wing will be steel. The new wing is protected by a small 3”x2”x2” grid. The drawings indicate the area above the ceiling is noncombustible. A 3” cap is being left for a future connection.
Building Department Scope:
Permit is to remodel an existing 5,214 square foot administration office area and continue the existing sprinkler system into this area. This building is partially fire sprinklered the intent is to have the building fully sprinklered in phases over the next 5 years. Approval contingent upon adhering to the approved plans on file. Work to include: demolition of non-combustible full height partition walls, and installation of new non-combustible full height partition walls, new lighting / switching, new accessible doors / hardware, installation of new mechanical units and duct work, minor plumbing, and finishes in compliance with chapter 8 of the 2006 IBC. This building is partial Fire Sprinklered with an approved Fire Alarm system. Any alterations or modifications to the buildings Fire Sprinkler or Fire Alarm system WILL REQUIRE A SEPARATE PERMIT and shall be installed per NFPA 13 & NFPA 72 as regulated by the Boise Fire Department. **TLW**, -TRF-
