Description
The Fire Sprinkler Scope of work consists of adding and relocating sprinklers to accommodate new wall and ceiling construction. Hydraulic calculations were supplied based on Ordinary Hazard Group I to verify the existing pipe sizing was adequate. The main as well as the branch piping has telescoping pipe sizes.

Building Department Scope:

(HEWLETT PACKARD)(PHASE II CAFE' - SERVERY REMODEL) Remodel to the existing dining / preparation assembly use cafeteria per approved plans. Work to include select interior demolition. Modification of existing kitchen area to become a large servery area for patrons to pass through selecting food and beverage choices before going to the seating areas. Modifications to the existing 1-hour roof/ceiling assembly (ESR-1222) and 1-hour occupancy separation wall separating the original A2.1 assembly dining / kitchen area accessory use area per the UBC under which remodels & upgrades were done, from the adjacent two story 'B' occupancy office building. Building 1, 2, 3, 5, & 7 of the Hewlett Packard campus are part of an unlimited area building as a 'B' occupancy use with 60 feet all around and fully sprinklered. The A2.1 dining / kitchen area was required to be of type II-1 hour construction and an accessory use to building three. All modifications to roof/ceiling assembly, penetrations and openings are to be such that the 1-hour construction is maintained. drs

Todays inspection was for the gridded area which failed due to the actual pendant head layout not matching the approved plans. This same area happens to be a remote area. Plans need to be resubmitted showing the actual layout and any hydraulic remote area modifications if needed.
