The Fire Sprinkler Scope of work consists of provide a NFPA 13D wet system for an assisted living facility. A new 2” and 1½” underground will brought into the garage to supply an 1½” steel riser with an 1½” Ames Double Check backflow preventer and 1½” riser manifold. The side feed system with telescoping branch piping will be installed in the attic. All piping in the attic will be tented to prevent freezing.


Building Department Scope:

This project is for the addition of 1400s.f. to an existing 2421s.f. 1-story single family dwelling. The project will consist of adding 6-bedrooms. This project is considered under the Residential care / assisted facility policy dated March 20, 2008. That will include interior non bearing partitions to create a staff bedroom in the existing living room area, dividing the existing master bedroom and new addition of 4-bedrooms. All bedrooms will have separate powder rooms and the addition will have one accessible bathroom. R-1B ok per Colleen Carroll. Separate electrical, plumbing, mechanical and ESC permits are required. Rough-in passed. One pendant needs to be relocated in the Laundry room and as-builts showing the revised pipe routing are needed. The tenting still needs to be done.

The original copies of the city approved plans were not on site so no rough-in inspection was performed. Also the installation was not complete. I went over underground supply requirements with the driller and Jim the owner.
