A strobe in the basement stairwell is overspaced. It originally had a symbol designation for the candella rating and no one knew what it stood for. The contractor installed a 15cd in its place prior to this inspection. This 15cd strobe is overspace for corridor spacing and for room spacing. It was agreed that a 75cd strobe would work and will be installed. As builts do not match the installation and will need to be revised. Still need to witness the sync'ing of the audio/visual devices and verify EOL. I offered to perform both of these services but my offer was declined due to the 15cd strobe issue and an acceptable way to verify the EOL not being agreed upon yet. A re-inspection fee as been assigned.

See the city approved plans for locations where a strobe needs to be added at the north end of an exit corridor, candella needs to be increased in a room. New horns are shown to be added around the Service building but have not been installed. The horns need to be installed or be approved by Boise City plan review to remain deleted. Additional strobes have been added in a restroom and others have been relocated to nearby walls. These and all other changes need to be shown on as-built plans. Per Brian, the simplex tech., the same EOL issues as the last project are present. I deferred him to Deputy Chief Gervais. No testing of the audio/visual circuits was performed.
