The fire sprinkler scope of work consists of protecting an existing and a new hanger with an associated two-story office area. In addition, the fire protection must extend 15’ beyond the two-hour firewall per note below. The new hanger is protected with a 6”x4”x2” wet pipe grid layout. The existing hanger is protected with a double tree type layout. The system is supplied through 8” underground to a 6” wall PIV and 6” backflow preventer. The system is NOT a foam system per the exception in IFC:

NOTE: 5/4/12 – Approved; per approved Fire Code Official code alternate and the resubmitted fire flow documentation from United Water of Idaho, dated 4/16/2012, indicating a fire flow of 3,250 gpm. The new hangar Fire sprinkler protection shall extend 15 feet west of the required 2 hour fire wall in addition to (1) one new fire hydrant being installed along West Rickenbacker street.
