Description |
The fire sprinkler scope of work consists of adding, plugging and relocating sprinklers to accommodate new wall and ceiling configuration. Pipe sizing is adequate for the minor revisions.
The fire sprinkler system is used for high-rise. To installed access controlled doors within the common corridor on the 6th story, to create a nonrated common corridor enclosure on the 7th story with access controlled doors, and to install a phone outside of a door on the 17th story to request access. Access controlled doors will be controlled by card readers from the non-egress side. Security measures are NOT allowed to obstruct egress from the egress side of any door. The work is to include interior noncombustible and nonrated walls, interior doors, electromagnetically locked doors with panic hardware and access control, and mechanical panic hardware. The door and sidelight serving the 7th story breakroom will be relocated. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. The existing Certificates of Occupancy are still valid. This permit does not create a Certificate of Occupancy for any tenant. **CJW**
