Todays inspection was for a rough-in for the second and third floors. Rough-in passed. Two locations are marked where heads have not been installed yet. Third floor piping is ok to cover. First, second and the stairwells can not be covered until insulation/filling has been verified.

Inspection was for the first floor only. With the removal of the upright heads the installation matches the revised plans. Tim is ok with the revised piping in the first floor. Piping can not be covered until the installation of the insulation has been approved.

Inspection turned into a conference. I noted, and we discussed, the extensive amount of obstructions caused by mechanical duct work. It does not appear that any of the obstruction rules for the CC heads can be met and that additional sprinkler heads will be required. With additional heads hydraulic calculations/pipe routing will/could be effected and plan modifications required. I also noted that the area under the stairs is combustible and does not have sprinkler protection. This will require special consideration to meet NFPA 13 requirements prior to a cover inspection.
