The fire sprinkler scope of work consists of adding, plugging and relocating sprinklers to accommodate new wall and ceiling configuration.
Contractor’s Note:
The building permit has not been issued at this time. The building department may determine that changes are required to the building plans in order to meet code. The changes may affect the sprinkler system. The sprinkler contractor will be obligated to make all necessary changes that may be required. Therefore, if the sprinkler contractor chooses to proceed without an issued building permit, they will do so on their own cognizance. This note does not constitute an early start agreement.
(A10 CAPITAL – 11TH STORY – WHOLE STORY) The fire sprinkler system is used to comply with the high rise provisions of the building code. To expand an existing tenant space into an unoccupied 2,222 square foot area on the 11th story. After the expansion, this tenant will occupy the entire story and have a total floor area of about 17,700 square feet. The story’s egress system will no longer accommodate more than one tenant. Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, interior doors, sink accessible to the disabled, millwork, and finishes. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits and fire alarm permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **CJW**
